Project Overview: Custom Website for Award-Winning Poet Sophie Cabot Black – Elegant Redesign for Metaphysical & Pastoral Work.

The Challenge: Sophie’s previous site was outdated and cumbersome for adding events, links, new publications, and updates—needing a simpler, more sophisticated platform that felt approachable while highlighting her poetry and photography.

My Solution: Created a clean WordPress build with a minimalist layout emphasizing sparse stanzas and imagery, integrated her beautiful photography, built a flexible book model for future collections, plus sections for events/readings and newsletter.

Results: Launched a timeless site that supports her latest work (Geometry of the Restless Herd) and ongoing literary life—praised for letting the poetry shine.
