Novelist Jill Eisenstadt approached me about creating a website for her to coincide with the re-release of her first book, which would quickly be followed by a release of a loosely related new book. She wanted a “nice looking but simple to use and update website where readers or others can get info and buy the book.” She also wanted people to more easily be able to find her online through her site, and connect with her on social media.
I created a simple site that echoed the aesthetic of her two recent book covers. We used pops of color to bring attention to the calls-to-action, and to offset the black-and-white beach photography used throughout the site.
The site is created in a way that allows her to add new books easily in the future, without having to totally rethink the site.
