As an author website designer with over 10 years of experience, I intentionally keep my business streamlined so that I personally do all the work on your project from start to finish because I love doing all of it. This makes me uniquely qualified to answer all your questions quickly, understand your needs, and translate your goals into a great website. I take on a limited number of new clients per month to ensure that each project gets the attention it deserves.
No matter which option you choose, I will help you develop a goal-oriented strategy for what shape your website should take and why, resulting in a site that’s not only clean, elegant and easy-to-use, but also designed to help make you and your project successful.
If you need something extra to go with your new website, or you need some of my time to help you do things on your own, see the options below!
Maybe you have some questions that you’d like answered, or you’d like to make your website yourself but just want some suggestions or guidance. Schedule a strategy phone call with me for as much time as you need to get the answers you’re looking for.
If you need things like business cards, bookmarks, postcards, letterhead, envelopes or invitations, Kate can design those for you. You’ll receive proofs to approve, then have the finished product printed and shipped directly to you. And if you need Facebook or Twitter cover images, or other digital or printed graphics, Kate covers that too.
If you haven’t used WordPress before, or even if you have but want a refresher, Kate will walk you through how to use WordPress, focusing specifically on how to update your site with the kinds of changes you want to make. You can ask as many questions as you want, and spend as much time as you want until you feel comfortable and confident.
For her existing clients, Kate will take care of monthly WordPress updates, backups, malware scans, and database optimization so that your site will run as smoothly and securely as possible.
If spending time on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or YouTube isn’t your idea of a good time, but you recognize that you need to be connecting with potential customers, this service allows you to outsource that task. I can post photos, inspirational quotes, videos, blog posts, and follow up with comments on your behalf to keep your brand engaged and looking good. You can use my time strategically around the launch of new products or services, or on an ongoing basis.
If your blog needs to be moved from WordPress.com or Blogger to your new website, Kate will migrate it making sure all your posts and post images make it to the new site. This does not include setting featured images for each post if that’s required by the new WordPress theme.
If you want to build an email marketing list, Kate will add the signup from your email marketing account to your website at no cost. If you want your blog posts to automatically get sent to your your subscribers via email, she can also set that up, or she can create MailChimp email design so that it’s easy for you to brand your email marketing.
Including e-commerce on your website so that you can sell things directly to customers has become much easier (for you and the customer) in recent years. Now, you can easily manage a simple online store yourself, including securely accepting credit card payment directly on your site.
After gathering information from you about your business/project, Kate will generate 5 unique logo ideas for you to choose from. After gathering your feedback, she will refine one (or more, if desired) of the ideas presented for your final review, resulting in a final logo that can be used for the web or print.
