First Second Books Publisher Website
First Second Books approached me to build them a new website when they decided their old website wasn’t working for them any longer. Based in Typepad, difficult to navigate & read, and using dated Flash components, their old site was a mess, but also filled with great content. They wanted a new site that would be easy for them to update and highly usable without losing the visual energy of their old site, and providing easy access to their wealth of blog content.

Madeleine L’Engle Author Website
Working with the grandchildren of Madeleine L’Engle, I created new WordPress-based website for the beloved author to feature her life and her work in addition to new projects that celebrate some of her most popular books. The new site can also act as a place for fans to connect via the new blog.

Pure Gold Book Website
Working with the book shepherd, To Press & Beyond, I was asked to create this WordPress-based website for a nonfiction book featuring six beautiful golden retrievers. With stunning photography to work with, I created a design that features these images prominently to bring the stars of the book to life for the reader.

The Savage Critic Website
This group of bloggers wanted to create a new, modern group blog to feature their reviews and podcasts of comic books. This project involved migrating over past archives of material from blogger, and making sure it was easy for site visitors to traverse the substantial archives depending on their interests using the features built into the WordPress blog engine.

Penfield & Smith Website
This engineering company needed a website that could feature and catalog the many projects and services they provide. With hundreds of website pages to maintain, this WordPress-based website makes it easy for them to edit the website and add new featured projects in house. Even though this site is built in WordPress, there is no blog as part of the project.
