With a design background that predates Photoshop and the public internet, Kate has been using design to creatively solve problems and make things beautiful for most of her life. Her passion for good design has led her to pursue a career creating compelling, authentic websites, logos and marketing collateral.

Kate founded Outbox Online Design Studio in the year 2000 while she was working as a user experience designer for a large company in California. She wanted an outlet for the kind of design work that fell outside the scope of her day job, so she created one. What started as a part-time endeavor grew with her through various promotions and employers into a full-time enterprise.

Kate now devotes her time exclusively to Outbox Online as a web designer & developer, enthusiastically creating websites and marketing collateral that is engaging, beautiful & strategically suited to her clients’ needs.

She lives and works in Portland, Oregon with her husband, writer Graeme McMillan, and their two ferocious dogs, Gus & Ernie.

Her clients live all over the world.
