About Kate McMillan & Outbox Online Design Studio
I create websites for authors, small businesses & nonprofit organizations that are clean, easy-to-use, and goal-oriented so that my clients have a successful platform to support what they love to do.
Kate has been using design to creatively solve problems and make things beautiful for most of her life. She founded Outbox Online Design Studio in the year 2000 while she was working as a user experience designer for a large software company in California.
She wanted an outlet for the kind of design work that fell outside the scope of her day job, so she created one. What started as a part-time endeavor grew with her through various promotions & employers working in the software design & usability field until she turned it into a full-time enterprise creating compelling, authentic websites, logos and marketing collateral in 2009.
Her experiences working independently and as a team & project manager have provided her with opportunities to handle all aspects of projects, from conception to implementation. She’s worked successfully with a variety of businesses, from one-person freelancers, to small local businesses, to large corporations, to international nonprofit organizations, so she is familiar with solutions to the unique challenges each project presents.
With her time now devoted exclusively to Outbox Online, Kate enthusiastically creates websites and marketing collateral that is engaging, beautiful & strategically suited to her clients’ needs. She specializes in the creation of websites & design collateral for publishers, authors, small businesses and non-profit organizations. If you’re not sure what your site needs to be, Kate has the experience & knowledge to help you figure it out.
Her clients live all over the world.
If you have a book or a small business that needs a clean, easy-to-use & goal-oriented website, I look forward to hearing from you!
