Kate has been using design to creatively solve problems and make things beautiful for most of her life. She founded Outbox Online Design Studio in the year 2000 while she was working as a user experience designer for a large software company in California. She wanted an outlet for the kind of design work that fell outside the scope of her day job, so she created one. What started as a part-time endeavor grew with her through various promotions and employers into a full-time enterprise creating compelling, authentic websites, logos and marketing collateral.

With her time now devoted exclusively to Outbox Online, Kate enthusiastically creates sites and marketing collateral that is engaging, beautiful & strategically suited to her clients’ needs. She specializes in the creation of websites and design collateral for publishers, authors, small businesses and non-profit organizations.

Kate lives and works in Portland, Oregon with her husband, writer Graeme McMillan, and their two ferocious dogs, Gus & Ernie.

Her clients live all over the world.
